Concession Stand / Coach’s Office
“We Need Your Help”
The Concession Stand was built around 1958 and through the years there has been minimal cosmetic work to the outside of the building. Over the years, the Gridiron Club has replaced all of the equipment to bring the building up to code, but the appearance and the structure of the present building needs a facelift.
For the past 17 years, the coaches’ office located off of the football locker room has been a second home for the coaches during the football and baseball season. During the football season, the 12 ft x 16 foot office will have as many as 8 to 9 coaches’ meeting 6 – 8 hours nightly, 4 to 5 days per week for 5 months. Baseball has 4 - 6 coaches’ meeting daily during the warmer months of April, May & June.
The working conditions in the office are getting worse. The ventilation system is non existent we had to purchase an air purification system to try and help improve the air quality in the office.
Our major goal is to build a new Concession Stand with Handicap Bathrooms and upgrade the coaches’ office.
The Concession Stand will be built on its original site and the coach’s office will be moved across the hallway from the original office.
The office will be ready for the 2010 season and the Concession Stand will be completed for the 2011 season.
